Peace is Cooking?

Well this is another great attempt at peace. A new tv series shown in both the Palestinian Authority and Israel! Maybe our obsession with TV dramas mixed with everyone's secret love of the Food Network will make a positive difference. One can only hope.

Brutal Hope

It might be my current apathy in regards to the US, but I really liked this article. It seemed, despite its brutal assessment of American foreign policy, to be pretty hopeful. Check it out here.

Peace! (I hope)

African Union Welcomes Signing of Central African Peace Accord
By Paul Richardson
June 23 (Bloomberg) -- African Union Commission Chairman
Jean Ping welcomed a ``comprehensive peace agreement'' between the government of the Central African Republic and rebel groups, and urged other militants to embrace the deal.
The agreement, signed in the
Gabonese capital, Libreville, on June 21, followed accords signed in February 2007, April 2007 and in May, the Addis Ababa-based organization said in an e-mailed statement today.
The commission ``calls on all other Central African Republic groups to join this accord, whose implementation will make it possible to create lasting peace and stability,'' the AU said.
The peace accord was signed by the country's main rebel force, the Popular Army for the Restoration of Democracy, led by former Defense Minister
Jean-Jacques Demafouth, and Damane Zakaria's Assembly of the Union of Democratic Forces, Agence France-Presse reported on June 21. A third group, the Democratic Front, hasn't signed the agreement yet, AFP said.

Hello World

I'm a bit late to jump on the blogging bandwagon, but I am young, so forgive me my errors. I want to share with the world the ways I have found to generate good most effectively. Now especially, when almost every aspect of the world around us seems to be suffering from irreparable issues, any action that we can take to help others is more needed than ever. So please, enjoy what I have to say, and feel free to use the resources I have discovered that can help relieve and prevent as much pain as possible.
